Senait: I have been a Makeup artist for over a decade and have gained a whole lot of experience, knowledge and technique within the past years. I have started my freelance business to further follow my passion of making people look and feel beautiful. I have found my special talent which some people spend a lifetime searching for and I use it to bring happiness, joy and confidence. I strive with every client to achieve this wonderful feeling, for their satisfaction and my own. I think what is most rewarding is when a client looks at their self in the mirror, after I have done my best and I see the smile of complete satisfaction in their eyes. I just love that. It makes me feel that I was a big part of something so special and unforgettable. That is what a wedding is, a time in your life that will not be forgotten and I love being a part of making a bride feel so beautiful during that special day.

Senait: This is my first year participating in "Her Big Day" and I am honored to be a part of a community of people who are passionate about making Brides experience the most memorable day of their life in an unforgettable way. Senait: They love the way they look is something that my clients have expressed to me a lot along with "thank you for being so flexible". As we all know, timing and scheduling can be thrown off by numerous things on a wedding day and being able to go with the flow to make my part a reality is what my focus is. I always make sure that the Brides worries have nothing to do with her makeup. I am always willing to accommodate her in anyway I can so that the least of her worries is her makeup.

Kavitha: I am a independent business owner. I have skin care products for men and women, I do facials for women. I have been in this industry for 8 years. I have worked with hundreds of women and have helped them to improve their skin conditions. The unique part is that I first analyze the skin of the person with a machine and then I do the facial with the right product for their skin type and recommend the product to use on daily basis.

HBD: Why are you participating in Her Big Day: A Cultural Wedding Affair? 

Kavitha: I was looking to help more ladies to boost their self esteem by looking their best on a daily basis. When I met Beri (co-founder ) of HBD and when she told me about the event coming up on Jan 31st I was so exicted to be a part of it.

Karen: I specialize in custom candy buffets! Whether it's for a wedding, wedding shower, bachelorette party or any other occasion, I work to bring your candy buffet visions to life. Candy buffets are such a nice, sweet touch to any wedding and is super affordable. Everyone can get their own dose of sugar. Also, if you plan on having kids at your event, candy buffets are a nice distraction. I always say that the candy buffet is awesome for a parent bringing a kid to a wedding because after their sugar high, they usually crash when they get home..haha!

HBD: Omg, that is too funny and so accurate! Why are you participating in Her Big Day: A Cultural Wedding Affair? 

Karen: I think it's great to showcase a sweets option for brides. The cool thing about candy is that it reaches across all cultures. All of your guests can enjoy it!

HBD: What do you find clients always say they love about working with you? 

Karen: Most of my clients are in disbelief on what all I offer. They can't believe how hands off they can be. I provide everything from the rental of the jars, scoops/tongs, to the table cloth, table(s), candy, decorative pieces, set up and tear down, and the list goes on. All they have to do is show up! HBD: Your reviews are great! What are common misconceptions about candy buffets?

Karen: Great question! A lot of people think that they can do their candy buffet on their own. More often than not, they find out how time consuming it is and it usually doesn't turn out quite how they envisioned.
